Gender OF Nouns
Noun gender is the
grouping of nouns based in names that refer to male/boy, female/girl, and non
living things.
There are 4 types:
1.
Masculine Gender- refers to nouns that
name males.

living things.

Most nouns in English has the same form
both for male and for female.
Example:
Child, dancer, doctor, engineer, friend, guest.

distinct.
Modes:

Adding the suffix –ess
